If you find a wild animal that may need help

Keep people and pets away, minimize handling, and contact a qualified organization before transporting or feeding the animal. Availability, species coverage, and intake capacity can change quickly—call ahead and follow the organization’s instructions. For an immediate threat to people or public safety, contact local emergency services.
